What is somatic work and why does it work when other things don't?
Your nervous system has been running your emotional reactions, your patterns, and your responses, mostly without your awareness.
Every time you overreact, shut down, or can't seem to change, that's your body following its programming. Not a character flaw.
Talk therapy helps you understand the story. Somatics helps you change what the body does with it. Those are two different things.
Affirmations, mindset work, and meditation don't stick in a dysregulated nervous system. The body won't accept what it doesn't feel safe enough to believe.
